Discussion thread. Follow-up to last week’s discussion here.
For left-wing readers: Imagine a left-wing movement comes to power. They make hospital birth mandatory (to create “healthy equity”), allow child-abuse (to protect the “sexual orientation” of “minor-attracted-persons”), and pass laws protecting all forms of genital cutting (to "protect Muslim and Jewish minorities”). Their only opposition is a far-right counter-movement. Do you join the opposition?

I'm a centrist. I assess the situation and back the side I agree with more. That said I'm left leaning and would join a right wing opposition to undo injustices if need be.
I don't particularly have a side, but if I did, and they did wrong, I would not support them. That doesn't necessarily mean I would support their opposition either.

I think i would start my own separate group and work with others on the issues we agree upon.
